I am an internal auditor. For more than eight years I have planned and run risk based audits, tested controls under SOX and ICFR, written the reports, and presented the findings to Audit Committees. The work has taken me through FMCG, retail, manufacturing, hospitality, aquaculture, medical and fintech businesses.
Lately most of my attention goes to AI: how organisations should govern it, and how auditors should test it. I hold ISACA's Advanced in AI Audit, and I am a Global AI Delegate at the Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence, where I speak on AI regulation and responsible AI.
Outside the day job I build Cashilor, a platform for learning to trade with honest numbers. It is the same instinct as audit: write it down before the result is known, and show the losses next to the wins.
